Reliable Services for Elders

Providing frail older adults the care they need to remain independent at home.

PACE Organization of Rhode Island is a not-for-profit health plan that offers services for qualifying adults age 55 and older. These older adults all have complex health needs but want to remain at home. As the insurer, provider, and coordinator of health care and wellness, PACE-RI tailors care plans to meet each participant’s individual needs through a range of service offerings. These services can be delivered in the home, at our health clinics and day centers, and beyond, providing great peace of mind for participants and their caregivers. Since 2005, PACE-RI has served more than 2,000 participants and their families across Rhode Island.

Proven Health Outcomes

The difference PACE makes.

PACE-RI senior citizen programs have consistently shown to improve health outcomes for frail elders. Some examples include:

  • We keep our participants out of nursing homes over four years longer than a similar population not enrolled in PACE.
  • PACE-RI participants make 11% fewer visits to the Emergency Department than other Medicare recipients with similar health conditions.
  • 93% of PACE-RI participants rate their care very favorably (good, very good, excellent).

Keeping Your Family Safe

Providing comprehensive care for elders while maintaining tight precautions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 has created a very dangerous climate for older adults. At PACE-RI, we have taken clear and decisive steps to limit the spread of the coronavirus, by keeping facilities clean and safe during this health crisis. Here is a shortlist of steps we have taken:

Cleaning the day center 3 times/day

Cleaning bathrooms after every use

Periodic hospital-grade disinfecting practices

Testing participants for COVID-19 every 2 weeks, and monitoring for symptoms daily
